Purifying and cleansing
Baking soda is your best bet if you want to clean your hair in a natural and eco-friendly way. Thanks to its purifying properties, it eliminates accumulated impurities and cleanses your scalp. Result: your hair breathes better, you space out your shampoos and you do good for the planet!
Degreaser
Baking soda powder is second to none for regulating excess oils in hair. Attacked by chemical shampoos that are sometimes too harsh, the scalp has no other alternative than to produce more sebum, which promotes oily hair and the development of dandruff.
Lightening
Baking soda also has another use, often overlooked, that of being used to remove artificial hair color considered too strong. It then acts as a natural bleach by lifting the hair scales to reduce the intensity of the coloring.
Precautions for use
Baking soda is a natural and non-allergenic substance, so it can be used without risk to health. However, it can be slightly too abrasive if used excessively on dry hair or an irritated scalp. It is therefore recommended to limit its application to every two weeks or even once a month.
